Criminal Law Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to two criminal law attorneys:

Responsibilities:

• Answering multi-line phone system (Receptionist)
• Communicating with court staff and client's professionally and effectively (Communication)
• Screening potential clients and directing their calls to the appropriate attorney (Intake)
• Filing paper & electronic documents (File Organization)
• Calendaring court dates (Calendaring)
• Record and store client information (Documentation)
• Preparing documents, completing tasks and calendaring for administrative license revocation hearings (ALRs)
• Preparing documents for occupational driver's license requests (ODLs)
• Preparing documents requesting bond modifications, travel requests, etc. (Pleadings)
• E-filing motions and orders

​Qualifications:

• Fluent Spanish Speaker REQUIRED
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Familiarity with how the courts work and the legal process 
• Experience with E-Filing
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (People Skills)
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Proficiency with software (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Adobe PDF, Dropbox, Clio, Lawruler, etc.)
