Remote Paralegal

Akenhead Law Firm, P.C., is a growing Albuquerque law firm seeking a motivated Paralegal who wants to become an important part of a collaborative and developing legal team.

The firm handles a diverse and substantive practice, including civil litigation, healthcare law, business disputes, regulatory matters, employment matters, guardianship, and select plaintiff cases. This is a strong opportunity for a candidate who wants hands-on legal experience, direct attorney mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and room for professional growth.

The successful candidate will assist with case management, drafting and formatting pleadings and correspondence, discovery, records collection and review, court filings, deadline tracking, client communication, hearing and trial preparation, and general litigation support.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, professional, responsive, and eager to learn. Strong writing, proofreading, communication, and technology skills are important. Prior law firm experience is preferred, but the firm will consider candidates with strong potential, good judgment, and a demonstrated interest in legal work. Completion of, or enrollment in, a paralegal certificate program is a plus.

This position may be structured as full-time, part-time, flexible, hybrid, or remote depending on the candidate’s experience and fit. Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience.
