EXPERIENCED FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL

Pay: Staring at $60,000.00 – to (DOE/years) annually

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, particularly in areas such as family law and criminal law. This role involves assisting attorneys with case preparation and managing legal documentation to ensure efficient operations within the firm.
Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including Petitions, Orders, Rule 11's, Motions, Notice of Hearings, Counterpetitions, Answers, Temporary Orders.
• Manage case files and maintain organized records using legal case management software including Clio and Google Drive.
• Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and meetings by gathering necessary documentation and evidence.
• Communicate with clients regarding case updates and gather necessary information for ongoing cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys on various aspects of family law and criminal law, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment for more than 5 years .
• Strong knowledge of legal drafting techniques and familiarity with family law (REQUIRED ) and criminal law (a bonus).
• Proficiency in legal administrative tasks including document management.
• Experience with Clio Manage, Westlaw Form Builder, File and Serve Texas
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented fast paced environment.
