Martin & Cukjati LLP - San Antonio, Texas
Part-time
Salary: Hourly
Application Deadline: Nov 20, 2026

Company Description

Martin & Cukjati, LLP is a full-service San Antonio law firm representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of matters, including civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, business law, construction law, and civil appeals.

As a small firm handling a diverse caseload, our team works closely together across practice areas and at every stage of a matter. We value professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent client service.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our San Antonio office as soon as possible.

This position is being filled in anticipation of our current Litigation Paralegal/Office Manager's upcoming maternity leave. The selected candidate will train directly alongside our current paralegal to become familiar with the firm's cases, procedures, systems, and daily operations before providing coverage during her absence.

The role will primarily focus on pre-litigation case support, client communication, intake coordination, and general administrative and office responsibilities, with some assistance on litigation-related matters as needed. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and able to work independently in a busy legal office.

This position is primarily intended to provide maternity leave coverage. While the position is temporary in nature, we are open to the possibility of retaining the right candidate on a permanent, part-time basis following her return, depending on the firm's needs and the candidate's performance. However, continued employment beyond the maternity leave period is not guaranteed.

Prior experience working in the legal field or legal assistant position is strongly preferred.
